The only difference is the size and shape of the base. The Tree Stand 30" has a 30-inch octagon shaped base and the Tree Stand 24" has a 24-inch square base. Other than that they are the same.

Can you make the chain longer for larger trees?

Yes, get a 3/16 inch quick link and 3/16 inch chain the length you need from any hardware store. Make sure a 3/8 inch bolt will go through each chain link.

What tools are required to assemble the Tree Stands?

No tools are needed for assembling the Tree Stands. A 9/16-inch wrench is needed to install the accessories.

What is the height from the ground to the base on the Quad Pods?

On the Quad Pod 14' the height from the ground to the base is 10 feet 6 inches.
On the Quad Pod 10' the height from the ground to the base is 7 feet 4 inches.
